Hiptipico’s mission is to support the creativity, ingenuity and passion of local artists in Guatemala. Preserving Maya culture and traditional customs is essential to Hiptipico’s brand. Even our name encompasses the local culture as the word “tipico” comes from the Spanish language and refers to the typical clothing that indigenous Maya wear in Guatemala.
Now, we offer 100% authentic Vintage Maya Huipiles. Each Huipil blouse is second hand, used, unique and one-of-a-kind. Each recycled Maya blouse is from a unique village and handmade with 100% authentic embroidery. Our Vintage Huipiles are woven on a traditional backstrap loom by a female artisan and has also been worn by a Maya woman in Guatemala.
