Last weekend we headed to Tzampoc Resort for a bohemian-inspired photo shoot! I collaborated with other brands to showcase more ethical options alongside Hiptipico and photographer Diana Alvaradocame in from Xela.
Tzampoc Resort is located above Lake Atitlan in the small village of Santa Catarina Palopó. Nestled in the mountains overlooking three volcanoes, this retreat has incredible views and landscape. A peaceful sanctuary for travelers and locals alike. We were so impressed we recorded live on Facebook with our friends at Perhaps you Need a Little Guatemala. We took time to show viewers around the gardens, inside their deluxe suite and even to their infinity pool!
We had this dreamy location all to ourselves for the entire morning.
At Hiptipico, we spend most of our time in rural villages and working directly alongside artisans to connect them to the global market. This was a special treat for us and definitely outside our norm. While we love enjoying the beauty that Guatemala has to offer, photo shoots at picturesque infinity pools with volcano views are NOT a clear representative of our day to day lives in Guatemala. But that doesn’t mean we didn’t enjoy this escape and are proud to promote other ways to stimulate the local economy in Guatemala!
This was just a sneak peek of our bohemian escape photoshoot -- stay tuned to see my full blog post on my ethical fashion styling.
