Sol Table Runner - Fuchsia

Vibrant fuscia tones of this striking geometric embroidery from the village of San Antonio Palopó pop against a rich woven background. Traditionally woven on a back-strap loom by female artisans. Maya women and their bodies are physically and intimately engaged in every moment of a weaving’s creation. That is what makes each and every table runner so incredibly special.

Bring new life to your dining room with this eye-catching piece and its unique story. For another option, display vertically by folding in half and hanging over a rod.

Every Hiptipico table runner is handmade by Maya artisans which produces one-of-a-kind variations. This makes them uniquely charming and distinct from factory-made accessories.

Give Back: Your purchase provides a dignified job opportunity to female artisans in rural Guatemala, aiding in their quest to escape poverty.

María lives and creates her magnificent handicrafts in San Antonio Palopó with a group of women weavers. To reach a larger market, the women travel everyday by public transportation to get to Panajachel to sell her handmade items by foot. Without a stand or locale, María carries most of her items on her head and walks the streets looking for potential shoppers. Working 7-days a week, María is extremely innovative and eager to discuss exclusive designs and customizable products for new customers.
