Manuela proudly carries out the artisanal legacy of her well-known family through her small business in Panajachel. Her family of artisans works alongside numerous highly skilled fair trade workshops allowing her to have access to some of the best handicrafts in all of Guatemala. Meaning her storefront has one-of-a-kind designs made with impeccable techniques. Manuela’s perseverance through difficult times is apparent as she continues to successfully manage her business and support her children even after her husband abandoned them several years ago. She also managed to acquire a scholarship for her two boys to go to private school, which they attend when they’re not helping out at the store.
