Newly Embroidered Camera Strap - Eternal Sunset
Our Newly Embroidered Camera Straps are designed for your professional camera! The unique embroidery was woven new by our female artisan partners in a weaving cooperative in the mountains outside of Chichicastenango. Using a traditional technique with intricate needlework, each strap can take 3 – 10 days to complete. By purchasing directly from female artisans, you are supporting a sustainable effort to pay above a living wage, provide steady employment and impact entire indigenous families.
The leather part of the strap was carefully crafted by our artisan partner Don Vicente and Ofelia in a small home workshop using top-grain leather. The additional nylon was imported and attaches to any DSLR camera. Your purchase supports our sustainable project to provide dignified job opportunities to indigenous artisans in Guatemala.
Sturdy nylon cord attachments.
Unique embroidery and leather combination.
Strap comes with a multi-color dust-bag and information card about the artisan your purchase supports.

We are so impressed by the coordination of the Ut'z Bat'z weaving cooperative. Their group leader Maria, reached out to us at Hiptipico searching for a way to expand their production and to help provide a more stable income for all the women in their cooperative. The female artisans in this group have some of the most intricate floral embroidery and a very efficient process in making embroidered belts called "fajas"! Meaning, when you purchase a camera strap from our woven collection, you can shop knowing you're helping provide a dignified job opportunity for female weavers.
