Doña Sebastiana’s store in located in the central artisan market in Panajachel and is now operated by her daughter, Nidia. After her mother tragically fell ill, Nidia inherited the historically well-curated family business as well as an eye for high-quality artisanal goods. Many of Sebastiana’s own designs and creations have been successfully passed down to her daughter but unfortunately some of her latest design secrets were not able to be preserved. Nidia’s passion comes from her loving dedication to her family and her spirit to continue with the family business in her mother’s honor is inspiring.
